Tsho Rolpa lake located in the Dolakha district of Nepal is one of the biggest glacier lakes. It lies at an altitude of 4,580 meters above sea level and is growing in size because of the melting glaciers. The average depth of the lake is marked as 55 meters. Similarly, the maximum depth of the lake is 270 meters. The total length of the Tsho Rolpa lake is 3.45 kilometers, whereas the average width is around 0.5 kilometers. Tsho Rolpa Lake covers an area of 1.537 square kilometers. It is a major threat to the villagers living around the Rolwaling valley because of its unstable dam.
Tashi Lapcha Pass
Tashi Lapcha pass is the highest point of the whole trek. It lies at an altitude of 5,755 meters above sea level and Khumbu region can be reached after crossing this high pass. Meanwhile, there is no human settlement area after the Na village of the Rolwaling Valley. The trekkers have to carry their own food and tents to cross this pass. The trail to Tashi Lapcha pass is filled with snow almost throughout the year, which makes it even more difficult to cross. But the trek is worth it as amazing views of the Rolwaling and Khumbu valley unfurl from the top of the Tashi Lapcha pass.

Bedding is also the largest sherpa village of the Rolwaling Valley. Na is situated beneath the Tsho Rolpa Glacier Lake at an altitude of 4,180 meters above sea level. Similarly, Na village is considered as the oldest settlement of the Rolwaling valley.
From the Tsho Rolpa Glacier lake, amazing views of the mountain ranges can be seen. The lake itself is one of the main highlights of the day and has never disappointed its visitors by its deep blue colour. After Tsho Rolpa, camping is required before reaching the human settlement area of the Khumbu valley after crossing the Tashi Lapcha pass. Khumjung holds one of the oldest monasteries in the Khumbu Region. Similarly it is also the largest sherpa settlement area of the Khumbu region. Two days of trek is required to reach Lukla through the Namche Bazaar from where you will take a flight back to Kathmandu.
