What kind of yoga has been combined in this trip?
There are many versions of Yoga in this modern day according to schedule, physical ability, and emotional state as some professionals say. There is always something for everyone meaning beginners, moderately learned, and professional yogis. It's been practiced for hundreds of years by people around the world mainly in India and Nepal. The idea of ancient yoga is very vast and can not be diluted with 60 mins of contortion, colorful yoga pants, and an acai bowl. Some of the classic and ancient yoga asanas (The physical posture)whereas examples of modern yoga are as followed:
Raja Yoga meaning ‘king’ is considered the best or highest form of yoga. It is closely related to Patanjali’s eight limbs of Yoga. Raja Yoga is known as classic Yoga and not much is modified in this ancient yoga form. This yoga stresses the concept of self-discipline and is more complicated than other forms and types of yoga. It aims to control the mind and futile thoughts through meditation.
Jnana Yoga is the yoga of knowing and knowledge of realizing the truth of oneself. This yoga intends to help people understand the depth of mind, body, and soul. It also includes studying philosophy and yogi texts. It was first mentioned in 400 BC and is about finding the path toward spiritual enlightenment.
In Tantra Yoga, the root of the tantra is ‘’tan’’ meaning to expand. It explores all aspects, sensations, and vibes that flow through the body. It's believed to be the less extreme physical form of yoga. It also includes scores of rituals as well.
Hatha Yoga typically involves set physical postures (Yoga postures) and breathing techniques. This active practice that aims to achieve harmony and balance in mind, body and spirit is known as Hatha Yoga.
Bhakti Yoga translates to devotion. This is based upon heart, love, and devotion towards a chosen deity and dedicating all action towards a god is an inborn nature or part of Bhakti Yoga. There are branches and activities that this song particularly includes and some of which are ’’Kirtana’’ which means singing a devotional song, ’’Samarana’’ meaning remembering the divine energy through meditation, and so on.
Karma Yoga is the yoga of ‘’Action’’ also known as the religion of love. Karma yoga is based on selfless service and acting without expecting any benefit. Awareness of each thought, word, and deed and mindfulness are important elements of Karma Yoga. it allows the professional to truly experience that moment in action.
Modern Yoga is modified according to the requirements of people these days and Aerial Yoga is a good example of modern yoga. It is a hybrid type of yoga developed by Michelle Dortignac by combining traditional/ classic yoga, poses, pilates, and dance while including a steady hammock. It is also called anti-gravity yoga as you defy the laws of gravitation force by lifting your body above ground with the help of a hammock. Normally you just require a yoga mat for practicing yoga however, for this yoga session you need a proper yoga studio with a properly secured hammock.
