Nepal Couple Tour Package Attractions

Kathmandu is full of heritage sites which are hundreds of years old with the same divine aura. The religious place is considered a blessing point here in Nepal, and primarily newlyweds visit these places for blessings. Here in Nepal, people get married in temples, so don't be surprised if you bump into them. You can do numerous things to make your trip memorable and unique with your partner.
Kathmandu - Silence in Chaos
Kathmandu is the hub of ancient trade routes, historic art, culture and ethnicity. Kathmandu, formally known as Kantipur, still has that classic rustic essence from the past. The congested city somehow delivers peace amid chaos which is comforting and relaxing. The traditional paths will take you to vintage markets inside the narrow alleys deep inside the big city of Kathmandu. Small shops overflowing with colorful merchandise will forever attract customers and tourists.
From historical landmarks providing a peek into the great nation's history to the modern spirited nightlife Kathmandu has it all. Monuments like Kathmandu Durbar Square are listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites and are the nation's pride. Exploring the busy streets of Thamel on a Rickshaw seems dreamy, which it is. The more you stay in this city, the more you love its chaotic beauty.
Kathmandu Durbar Square
Kathmandu Durbar Square is one of the three major Durbar in Nepal. Kathmandu Durbar Square is not an individual architecture but a cluster of unique, extraordinary buildings with comprehensive designs. Locally known as Basantapur or Hanuman Dhoka is a go-to place for foreigners and locals. Most of the architecture in Kathmandu Durbar Square are religious monuments with spiritual and historical significance. Most local festivals are held on Kathmandu Durbar Square, which also houses the only living goddess, Kumari. The starting and endings in the premises of Durbar Square are considered lucky as the goddess will bless the ritual. Indra Jatra is one of the prominent local festivals of the natives here in Kathmandu.
As you get closer to the graceful buildings, you will notice the complicated woodwork and sculpture of Hindu deities all over the monuments from top to bottom. The statues and intricate work exhibit the skills and history of one's country and time period—the complicated designs done by Shilpakars (Artisan), which translates to dwellers of the historic city Patan. Some renowned architectures are Kasthamandap, Taleju Temple, Hanuman Dhoka Palace, Nautale Durbar (Basantapur Durbar), Kumari Ghar and so on. (Remember, no photos and videos inside the monuments).
Boudhanath Stupa
Located about 11 km from the central city in the southeastern outskirts of Kathmandu is the major Buddhist hub. Home to the largest Stupa, refugees of Tibet have made Bouddha their permanent home. This place's tranquillity is out of this world; the air is aromatised with the divine smell of incense and Tibetan spices. The magnificent stupa is decorated with colourful prayer flags, secret mantras, and hundreds of prayer wheels. Hundreds of people visit the stupa daily as a ritual, and others live in the moment. The stupa is surrounded by jewellery shops, traditional Thangka shops and cosy rooftop cafes that provide an aerial view of the whole place. During the deviation time, you can hear the hypnotic sound of conventional instruments.
The dazzling stupa topped with a golden pinnacle draws the attention of every visitor. While appreciating the majestic stupa, you will see the soft eyes gazing at you with blessings and tranquillity. If you are interested in architecture, the giant stupa fascinates you. Curcumbulating around the stupa to get the prayer is one of the few things you can do while at the site. Lunch or dinner in rooftop restaurants is also an ideal evening plan for couples.
Swayambhunath Temple
Swayambhu, which translates to self-existence, is one of the well-known religious sites for both Hindus and Buddhists. Primarily known as the monkey temple, it is an ancient temple located on a hill giving you a panoramic view of the entire Kathmandu city. The century-old architecture is considered the holiest religious site. The Swayambhunath complex is a group of Chaityas, statues, and Hindu and Buddhist deities’ shrines. The stupa is on top of a hill, and hundreds of prayer wheels and shrines surround the base. You can see people circumambulating the stupa as a ritual in which you can also participate. Steep stone paved stairs lead to the rewarding viewpoint and spiritual spot. Climbing those stairs is challenging but worth every step. People practice yoga and other relaxing activities while soaking in peace and beauty.
Lighting butter lamps and feeding pigeons are some things you can do here. On clear days you can see snow-capped mountains such as Langtang, Ganesh, Gauri Shankar, and Manasalu ranges. As mentioned, this temple is also known as the Monkey temple. As sweet and innocent as they seem, they are equally notorious. So keep your distance from them while doing the sightseeing.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square
Bhaktapur Durbar Square, known as Khwopa in the native tongue, is located about 13 km southeast of central Kathmandu. Bhaktapur translates to the city of devotees, and it is obvious seeing multiple temples and religious masterpieces. Bhaktapur Durbar square is one of three impressive Durbar Squares; it is undoubtedly one of the best palaces that boasts art and myths. To witness the historical beauty and awe-inspiring structure, Bhaktapur proudly exhibits the richness of Newari art, architecture, and fascinating history. The current durbar squares are formal royal palaces meaning the palace has a royal essence and extravagant elegance.
The courtyards of the formal royal palaces are the platforms for observing festivals and events. Gai Jatra is one of the bizarre festivals held in Bhaktapur durbar square. There are 33 temples named within the Bhaktapur Durbar Square, covering 665-meter squares. The combination of temples, shrines, and courtyards completes Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Of course, the ancient landmarks have their own charm. Still, only some pieces of architecture stand out because of their history and significance. Fifty-five windowed palaces built for the king’s 55 wives, Kumari Ghar, Luhiti Chowk, and Siddhi Laxmi temple are some of the extraordinary attractions of the square.
Nagarkot
The paradise near Bhaktapur is full of lush greenery and an excellent viewpoint for celestial sunrise and sunset. It’s a beautiful place to escape urban cities and the concrete jungle. It is a superb place if you are into nature and viewing, as it is a popular viewpoint in Kathmandu valley. Annapurna, Manasalu range, Ganesh Himal range, Langtang range, Jugal range, Rowling range, and many more. And last but not least, the sunrise and sunset here are heavenly.

What could be more romantic than viewing the sunset with your loved ones? Besides the sunrise, the panoramic view of the entire valley will fascinate you.
Garden of dreams
As the given name, this place truly stands up to its name. It is a neo-classic historical garden of royal families, now a historic attraction open to the public. It is a popular destination right in the centre of Kathmandu. The garden of Dreams is full of sophisticated statues, mini ponds, an amphitheater, parks, and numerous gardens full of flowers. The small details over the places make it a delightful site for hangouts.
Most couples visit this place as a perfect date spot with a cosy ambiance. It's close to the central tourist hub Thamel. The garden is loaded with tropical vegetation and is the ideal spot for both couples and plant lovers. Inside the garden premise, there is a cafe, great for coffee dates. The Garden of Dreams is dreamy if you crave quality time with your boo. It is one of the few places in Nepal where you can show physical affection without getting uncomfortable stares from older adults.
Pokhara - City of Romance
