Kyanjin Gompa (3860m)

Kyanjin Gompa lies in the heart of the Langtang valley. Located at an elevation of 3860m above sea level. Kyanjin Gompa is a  small village mostly of Buddhist culture. You can get a stunning view of the mountain ranges such as Langtang Lirung, Changbu, and Yubra. Kyanjin Gompa is the place where one can hike Kyanjin Ri and Ganja La pass which is regarded as one of the most difficult passes in Nepal.

Kyanjin Ri (4,773m )

Kyanjin Ri is the highest point of the Langtang valley and stands at an elevation of  4,773m above sea level. It is just 2.2km from Kyanjin Gompa and one can reach the peak within 3-4 hours. There are no tea houses or lodges on the way to Kyanjin Ri as hikers and trekkers prefer to stay at the Kyanjin Gompa. Kyanjin Ri provides a mind-blowing view of the entire valley, and incredible glaciers followed by a panoramic mountain range view. 

Excluding the landscapes, this viewpoint also provides breathtaking sunrise and sunset views. After reaching the top you can witness the close-up view of Langtang Lirung on the northwest side. Similarly, you get the Langtang glacier view below the  Kyanjin Ri peak. On the right side of the Langtang Lirung you get the perfect view of Changbu and Yubra mountains. Meanwhile, Yalla Peak can be seen on the northeast side. And from the southwest side, you can witness yet another outstanding peak that is Tserko Ri situated at an altitude of 4,984 m above sea level. 

Tserko Ri (4,985m)

Tserko Ri is the ultimate viewpoint of the Langtang valley. It is situated above 4000 m above sea level. Tseko Ri is one of the most visited places in the Langtang valley. From here you can get a 360-degree view of the mountain range including other attractions such as the glaciers and the Tamang settlement of Kyanjin Gompa. 

On the trail, there is no teahouse or any settlement which means there is no water or food supply along the way. Hikers and trekkers must carry water and food supply if they wish to hike toward the peak. The distance between KyanjinGompa and Tserko Ri is around 5 km. The trail follows a gradual hill that one can complete within 4-5 hours. This photogenic place will stun you with its beauty. The reason why it's called the ultimate viewpoint is that you can get a bird's eye view of the entire area.

Gosaikunda (4,430m)

The holy lake Gosaikunda also known as Silu is an alpine freshwater mesotrophic lake located in Nepal’s Langtang National park. It is situated at an elevation of 4,380m above sea level. It lies north of Kathmandu between Helambu, and Langtang valley. The whole lake covers 14 ha and is 25.5m deep. This gorgeous lake provides a spectacular view to its visitors. 

Besides, the majestic view of this pure holy lake has religious significance as well. Every year hundreds of Hindu devotees visit during the Hindu festival of Janai Purnima. People visit Gosaikunda on this particular date to pay respect to the departed souls, praying for their well-being in the afterlife.

From there you will go on a short hike towards the viewpoint that is Kyanjin Ri situated at an elevation of 4,773m. You can see mountain peaks, glaciers ad the village as well from this location. The time duration from Kyanjin Gompa to Kyanjin Ri is just 2-3 km you can cover it within 3-4 hours. The view from the top is incredible have some pictures and return to the lodge. You will get to try authentic local cuisine, and enjoy your dinner at the lodge. 

On the third day of your trip, you will walk up to Tserko Ri situated at an elevation of  4,985m which is the ultimate viewpoint of the valley. From Kyanjin Gompa it takes around 3-4 hours to reach the top. You get the astounding 360 degree view from this place which includes several snow-capped mountains, glaciers, a valley view,s and many more. Sunrise and sunset are the main attractions that one can witness in this place. After you finish exploring make your way back to the lodge and rest for the night.  You will collect lots of memories in the wilderness of this valley.  

On the 4th day which is the last day of your Langtang valley tour. Before you end your exciting journey you will visit the holly lake Gosaikunda. After you have your breakfast you will get ready for your helicopter ride towards the lake which will take around 15 mins on the helicopter. While you get to your destination you will get a panoramic view of the valley followed by breathtaking mountain views. As you get close to the lake your eyes will spark with the beauty of the lake.
